Who is Boat Rex

Hello, my name is James and I am the founder of Boat Rex. I am also the developer, owner, etc of Boat Rex...although I do try, I am not much of a designer...there is a difference :/ Thus Boat Rex is not a large company, consisting of me, myself and I. My wife plays the part of critic when she's able, but isn't paid.

Boat Rex is a work in progress and certainly not perfect, nor is there corporate funding...I do have a day job that keeps me afloat. However, I've been on the water most of my life and enjoy what I do. I make changes to Boat Rex on a regular basis, sometimes daily. I also respond respond to valid requests when able, so feel free to reach out. For the most part, the site and apps are free...unless you're selling something...then I do ask for a nonimal fee. That being said...additional details are below...

So, what is Boat Rex?

Boat Rex is a partnership between boaters and boating businesses. Boaters will often travel to different bodies of water before tying up or anchoring. Often times, they are not aware of what all that is available on their voyage. Like which Marinas have available boat slips, are there boat storage locations nearby and when things don't always go as they planned, what service providers can assist.

This is where Boat Rex comes in. Boat Rex allows for boaters to quickly get to all of their boating needs from the palm of their hands. Instead of phone tag, email or potentially driving around for service or trying to find a boat slip or boat storage that fits your vessel, you can use Boat Rex to search by dimension of available boat slips and boat storage units. And when it's time to upgrade or sell your vessel, dealers, boat brokers and listing a boat for sale is only $1.99 per month. This saves everyone time and frustration, leading to a better experience and more time on the water.

As Boaters traverse the waters on their various voyages, they will be able to save essential information. Things like, Marinas, Boat Storage, Service Providers and where they might find their next vessel. Things happen on and off the water, and it's hard to keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be done. Boat Rex allows boaters to track who did what, when it was done or what still needs to be done, has it been scheduled or are we doing this ourselves...all in one place. We call it the Captain's Log and feel that it beats a binder to shreds.

How does it work?

Well, it's free for Boaters. They can just download the mobile app for their Apple or Android phone and be on their way. The only fees that a Boater incurs is when they want to list their boat for sale. Listing a single boat for sale is $1.99 per month via the Dinghy subscription, click here to view all subscription fees. If you sell your boat within a month, it only cost you $1.99.

Boat Businesses will want to have their business listed. This has many benefits for them and boaters. With a business listing, boating companies can associate their business with a body of water so that boaters can quickly identify what is available at a particular destination. They can also update their profile, with images, hours of operation a description of their business and what they have available. Dealers have boats for sale, Marinas have boat slips available, Boat Storage companies have storage units, and we all need various service providers.

Marinas and Boat Storage companies can list available boat slips and storage locations with dimensions, allowing for boaters to find just what they need by size. This saves everyone valuable time and unnecessary phone calls as well as missed opportunities.

Since business listings normally have more than one item to list per their industry, we have subscription packages available. To get started, a business will need to have a business listing which is $20 per year, roughly 6 cents per day. Click here to view all subscription fees

The listing subscriptions are per month and no we do not have contracts, simply month to month. These subscriptions are named after types of boats. The idea is that all boats have seats, these seats normally have different occupants throughout the month. That being said, you have the business listing for a month, and we expect that you will have different occupants per seat during the month. Meaning, if you're a dealer, you can list as many boats in a particular seat during the month as you can sell during that time for the price of the monthly subscription. The only limitation is the number of listings you can have active per month is based on the number of seats you have. You can have multiple subscriptions to best fit your needs.
