Summit Lake is a small, man-made lake located in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It is situated within the 809-acre Summit Lake Wildlife Management Area, which is managed by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
Summit Lake was built in the 1950s by the Civilian Conservation Corps as a recreational area for local residents and tourists. It covers approximately 43 acres and has a maximum depth of 22 feet.
The lake is popular for fishing, with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish among the species commonly caught. Boating is also allowed on Summit Lake, with a boat ramp and several fishing piers available for public use.
The surrounding wildlife management area offers opportunities for hiking, hunting, and wildlife viewing. A camping area with 13 sites is also available for visitors.
