Lake Hamilton is a reservoir located in Garland County, Arkansas. It is one of the 20 lakes in the Hot Springs area and is known for its clear waters, scenic beauty, and abundance of recreational activities. The lake covers approximately 7,200 acres and has a maximum depth of 80 feet. It was formed in 1932 when the Carpenter Dam was constructed on the Ouachita River in the city of Hot Springs. The lake is popular for boating, fishing, swimming, and water sports. There are several marinas, resorts, and restaurants situated along the lake's shore. The Lake Hamilton School District is also named after the lake.
