Lake Maumelle is a reservoir located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. It was created in 1957 by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a water supply for the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. The lake covers an area of approximately 8,900 acres and is located about 10 miles northwest of Little Rock. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and other recreational activities. There are several public parks and boat ramps located around the lake that provide access for recreational users. The lake is also home to a variety of fish species, including black bass, crappie, and catfish.
