About this destination

Peckerwood Lake is a man-made reservoir located in northeast Arkansas, approximately 14 miles south of Forrest City. The lake covers over 2,000 acres and is popular for fishing and boating. It was created in 1952 by the construction of a dam on the L'Anguille River. The lake is surrounded by forests and is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, turkey, and waterfowl. There are several campgrounds and recreational areas around the lake, as well as a fish hatchery and boat ramp. Peckerwood Lake is known for its largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish fishing.
