Lake Granby is a large reservoir located in Grand County, Colorado, United States. It is situated along the Colorado River and is part of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, a water diversion project that provides water for irrigation, municipal and industrial use, and hydroelectric power generation.
Lake Granby has a surface area of 7,256 acres, a maximum depth of 221 feet, and an average depth of 56 feet. Its shoreline extends for 40 miles and offers plenty of recreational opportunities, including fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and wildlife watching. The lake is stocked with various types of fish, including rainbow trout, brown trout, kokanee salmon, and Mackinaw trout.
