Highland Lake

Highland Lake is a beautiful lake located in the town of Winchester, Connecticut. It covers an area of approximately 444 acres and has a maximum depth of 63 feet. The lake is popular for swimming, fishing, boating, and watersports. There are two public boat launches on the lake, one located on the eastern shore and the other on the western shore. Fishing is also a popular activity on Highland Lake, with species such as smallmouth and largemouth bass, trout, and sunfish commonly caught. In addition to its recreational offerings, Highland Lake is also an important source of drinking water for the town of Winchester.
