Lake Saltonstall is a 338-acre reservoir located in Branford, Connecticut. It was created in 1949 by the construction of a dam on the East Branch of the West River. The lake is used for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, hiking, and picnicking. It is surrounded by 688 acres of protected land that provides important habitat for a variety of plant and animal species. The lake and surrounding land are managed by the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority.
