Lake Rousseau is a 3,656-acre reservoir located in Citrus, Levy, and Marion counties in Florida, United States. It is a popular destination for boating, fishing, kayaking, and wildlife watching. The lake was created in the 1920s by the construction of a dam on the Withlacoochee River. It is known for its abundant population of largemouth bass, as well as other game fish such as bluegill, crappie, and catfish. The lake is surrounded by cypress and oak forests and offers beautiful views of the surrounding natural scenery. There are several campgrounds and parks located on the lake, including Lake Rousseau RV Park and Lake Rousseau Park.
