Walter F George Reservoir is a large reservoir located on the Chattahoochee River in southwest Georgia and eastern Alabama. It was created by the construction of the Walter F George Dam, which was completed in 1963 by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The reservoir covers over 45,000 acres and has over 640 miles of shoreline. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities.
