Deadwood Reservoir is a large reservoir located in Valley County, Idaho, USA. It is situated in the Payette National Forest about 60 miles northeast of Boise. Deadwood Reservoir covers an area of 3,000 acres and has a maximum depth of 170 feet. The reservoir is a popular spot for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking in the surrounding mountains. It is also used for hydroelectric power generation, flood control, and irrigation purposes. Visitors can access Deadwood Reservoir via Forest Service Road 579, which is open from late May to early October, weather permitting.
