Lake Walcott is a reservoir located in southern Idaho, United States. It is located about 10 miles southeast of the town of Rupert and is part of the Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge. The reservoir was created in 1926 when the Minidoka Dam was built on the Snake River. The lake spans over 10 miles and covers an area of about 11,000 acres. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. Common fish species found in Lake Walcott include rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish.
