The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and northern pike, making it a popular spot for anglers. A fishing pier, boat ramp, and boat rentals are available.
There are several hiking and biking trails around the lake, including the 3.25-mile DuPage River Trail and the 2.5-mile Whalon Lake Loop Trail.
