Lake Shafer is a man-made reservoir located in White County, Indiana. It was created in 1923 along with its sister lake, Lake Freeman, by the construction of the Norway Dam on the Tippecanoe River. Lake Shafer covers approximately 1,300 acres and has a maximum depth of 72 feet. The lake is a popular spot for boating, fishing, and other recreational activities. Its shoreline is dotted with vacation homes and resorts, making it a popular destination for tourists in the summertime. The lake is also home to several annual events, including the Lake Shafer Boat Parade and the Lake Shafer Fireworks Show.
