Mississinewa Lake is a reservoir located in Grant and Huntington counties in Indiana, USA. It was created in 1967 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers as part of a flood control and water management project. The lake covers over 3,000 acres and has approximately 50 miles of shoreline. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The lake is surrounded by the Mississinewa River Wildlife Area, which features over 14,000 acres of wetlands, forests, and grasslands. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, osprey, wild turkey, deer, and beavers.
