Lake Malone is a 788-acre reservoir located in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. It was created in 1961 by the construction of the Malone Dam on the upper reaches of Sandy Creek. The lake is named after B. F. Malone, a farmer who owned the land where the dam and lake were constructed.
Lake Malone offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking. The lake is known for its clear waters and abundant fish, including largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish.
