Mezick Ponds

Mezick Ponds is a group of three different ponds located in Somerset County, Maryland. The ponds are named for the Mezick family, who owned the land for many years. They are popular for fishing, hiking, and birdwatching. The ponds range in size from 10 to 38 acres and are stocked with a variety of fish, including bass, catfish, and bluegill. The surrounding area features wooded trails for hiking and biking, picnic areas, and a playground. The park is open year-round and admission is free.
