Lake Traverse is a lake located in west-central Minnesota, on the border between Minnesota and South Dakota. The lake covers an area of approximately 11,000 acres and has a maximum depth of 17 feet. It is situated within the Lower Minnesota River watershed and is fed by several small streams. The lake is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with a variety of fish species including walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill. There are also several campgrounds and resorts located on the shores of Lake Traverse for recreation activities.
