Hungry Horse Lake

Hungry Horse Lake is a large, natural lake located in the Flathead Valley of Montana, United States. It is approximately 34 miles long, covers an area of over 23,000 acres, and has a maximum depth of 499 feet. The lake is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and is known for its stunning scenery, excellent fishing, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, boating, and fishing in the lake's pristine waters. Hungry Horse Dam, one of the tallest dams in the United States, is located on the south end of the lake and provides hydroelectric power to the region.
