Lake Raleigh is a man-made 75-acre lake located on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. The lake is a popular hub for recreational activities, including kayaking, fishing, jogging, and biking. It was created in 1976 to serve as a source of cooling water for the nearby power plant. The lake is surrounded by green spaces, including a natural area, picnic areas, and walking trails. Lake Raleigh is also home to numerous species of wildlife, including fish, birds, and turtles.
