Walnut Creek Lake is a man-made reservoir located in Lancaster County, Nebraska, approximately 11 miles east of Lincoln. It was created in 1986 by the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District as a water supply and recreational area. The lake has a surface area of 450 acres and a maximum depth of 33 feet. It is stocked with a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. The lake also offers camping, hiking, and boating opportunities, as well as picnic areas and a beach for swimming.
