It is the northernmost of the four Connecticut Lakes, with its outlet, the Connecticut River, flowing northward into Canada. The lake covers an area of 2,561 acres and has a maximum depth of 63 feet. It is a popular spot for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming in summertime, and snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing in winter. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful natural forest and wildlife, making it a picturesque spot for nature lovers.
