Cayuga Lake is one of the Finger Lakes located in central New York State. It is the longest of the Finger Lakes, stretching over 38 miles from its northernmost point in Seneca Falls to its southernmost point in Ithaca. The lake covers an area of approximately 66 square miles and has an average depth of 177 feet. It is an important source of drinking water for the region and is also a popular destination for outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, and swimming. The lake is surrounded by several quaint towns, including Aurora, Cayuga, and Trumansburg, which offer a variety of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions.
