American Horse Lake

American Horse Lake is a reservoir located in north-central Oklahoma, near the city of Pawnee. The lake was created in 1940 by the construction of a dam across the Hominy Creek. The lake covers an area of approximately 400 acres and has a maximum depth of 60 feet. American Horse Lake is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and camping, with several recreational facilities available around the lake.
