Elk Lake

Elk Lake is a natural lake located in the high Cascade Mountains of central Oregon, United States. It sits at an elevation of 4,910 feet (1,497 m) and is part of the Deschutes National Forest. The lake is approximately 150 acres (61 ha) in size and is surrounded by forested mountains, making it a popular spot for outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, hiking, and camping. There are several campgrounds and cabins available for rental around the lake. The area is also known for its scenic drives, with the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway passing nearby.
