East Branch Clarion River Lake is a reservoir located in Elk and Clearfield Counties in Pennsylvania, United States. It was constructed in the 1960s by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation. The lake has a surface area of 1,160 acres and a maximum depth of 78 feet.
The lake is a popular destination for outdoor recreation including boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species including bass, trout, and walleye. There are several boat launch areas and picnic areas around the lake, as well as a campground with over 60 campsites.
In addition to its recreational uses, the lake is also an important part of the ecosystem of the area, providing habitat for a variety of plant and animal species. The surrounding forested landscape is home to black bears, bobcats, and coyotes, as well as a variety of bird species.
