Glendale Lake is a man-made reservoir located in central Pennsylvania, USA. It covers an area of 1,635 acres (6.6 km²) and has a maximum depth of 58 feet (18 m). The lake is surrounded by over 22,000 acres (89 km²) of public land, mostly forested hills and valleys. It was created in 1965 by the construction of a dam on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The lake is owned and managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, and is a popular destination for fishing, boating, picnicking, camping, hiking, and hunting. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including bass, trout, walleye, crappie, and catfish. There are several boat launches and marinas around the lake, as well as several campgrounds and picnic areas. Glendale Lake is also home to a number of wildlife species, including bald eagles, ospreys, beavers, and black bears.
