Tioga-Hammond Lakes are two interconnected man-made reservoirs located in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, United States, near the town of Tioga. Tioga Lake is the upper and smaller of the two lakes, with a surface area of 391 acres and a maximum depth of 85 feet. Hammond Lake is the lower and larger of the two lakes, with a surface area of 853 acres and a maximum depth of 72 feet. The lakes are part of the Tioga-Hammond & Cowanesque Lakes Project, which was built and is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The project provides flood control, water supply, recreation, and fish and wildlife conservation benefits to the region. The lakes are popular destinations for fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and picnicking. The area is also home to several species of fish, including walleye, bass, and trout, as well as numerous bird species such as osprey, eagles, and loons.
