Dale Hollow Lake is a reservoir located on the Kentucky and Tennessee border, primarily in northern Tennessee. It was created in 1943 by the construction of the Dale Hollow Dam on the Obey River. The lake is over 27,000 acres and is known for its crystal-clear water and abundance of fish, making it a popular destination for boating, fishing, and swimming. The surrounding area is also popular for hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. Dale Hollow Lake is considered one of the top 10 fishing destinations in the United States and is also the site of several annual fishing tournaments. It is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
