Lake Corpus Christi is a reservoir located in southern Texas, about 25 miles northwest of Corpus Christi. It was created in 1935 with the construction of a dam on the Nueces River. The lake covers an area of 18,256 acres and has a maximum depth of 60 feet.
Lake Corpus Christi is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. It is known for its abundant population of largemouth bass, catfish, and sunfish. There are several boat ramps and camping areas located around the lake, as well as picnic areas and hiking trails.
In addition to recreational activities, Lake Corpus Christi serves as a source of drinking water for the surrounding communities. The lake is managed by the City of Corpus Christi and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
