Lake Fort Phantom Hill

Lake Fort Phantom Hill is a reservoir located in Jones County, Texas. It was impounded in 1938 on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River and is located about 10 miles north of Abilene. The lake has a surface area of 4,213 acres and a maximum depth of 68 feet. It is a popular fishing spot, with fish species including bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish. The lake also offers opportunities for boating, swimming, camping, and hiking. There are several parks around the lake, including Fort Phantom Hill Park, Steve Savage Park, and Redbud Park.
