Richland-Chambers Reservoir is a large man-made lake located in Navarro and Freestone Counties in Texas. It was created by the construction of the Richland-Chambers Dam on the Trinity River. The reservoir covers an area of about 44,752 acres and has a shoreline of 330 miles. It is the third largest lake in Texas in terms of surface area and is a popular spot for boating, fishing, camping, and other water-related activities. The lake is also used for irrigation, flood control, and municipal water supply. It is home to a variety of fish species, including catfish, bass, crappie, and sunfish, making it a popular destination for anglers. The Richland Creek Wildlife Management Area, located on the north end of the lake, offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, and feral hog.
