The reservoir was created in 1974 by the construction of a dam on Huntington Creek and has a capacity of 31,000 acre-feet. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating and camping. The reservoir is home to a variety of fish species including rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon.
