Navajo Lake is a reservoir located in the Dixie National Forest in southern Utah. It was created in 1972 by the construction of the Navajo Dam on the San Juan River. The lake has a surface area of 3,350 acres and a maximum depth of 220 feet. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, water sports, and camping. The lake is surrounded by scenic red rock cliffs and offers opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. Some of the fish species found in the lake include trout, kokanee salmon, bass, and crappie. The area is also home to a variety of birds and other wildlife, including bald eagles, ospreys, and mule deer.
