Oquirrh Lake

Oquirrh Lake is a man-made reservoir located in South Jordan, Utah. It was created to serve as a recreational center for residents of the surrounding cities. The lake was built by the Daybreak Community and is part of the larger Daybreak development, which features residential areas, parks, and commercial spaces. Oquirrh Lake has become a popular destination for water activities such as fishing, boating, and swimming. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout, and there are several fishing piers located around the lake. Kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft can be rented from the Daybreak community center. In addition to water activities, the lake has a 3.5-mile paved trail around its perimeter, perfect for walking, jogging, and biking. The trail offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Throughout the year, Oquirrh Lake hosts several events, including an annual fishing derby, outdoor concerts, and a holiday light display. The lake also features a beach area, playground, and picnic pavilions for families and groups to enjoy.
