Strawberry Reservoir is a large, man-made lake located in Wasatch County in northeastern Utah. It was created in 1912 by the construction of Strawberry Dam on the Strawberry River. The reservoir has a surface area of approximately 17,200 acres and a maximum depth of 200 feet.
The reservoir is a popular destination for fishing, with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout being the main species found in the lake. In addition to fishing, visitors to the area can enjoy boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding on the water, as well as hiking and camping in the surrounding Uinta Mountains.
Strawberry Reservoir is also home to a variety of wildlife such as moose, elk, deer, and bald eagles. The area is open to both day use and overnight camping, with several campgrounds and lodges available for visitors. The reservoir is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Salt Lake City.
