North Springfield Reservoir is a man-made reservoir located in the town of North Springfield, Vermont, United States. The reservoir was created by the damming of the Black River and is owned by the State of Vermont. The reservoir has a surface area of approximately 327 acres and a maximum depth of 65 feet. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and swimming during the summer months. The reservoir is also used for hydroelectric power generation, as the water flows through a turbine to generate electricity. The North Springfield Reservoir is managed by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, and is stocked with a variety of fish species including rainbow trout, brown trout, and largemouth bass.
