R.D. Bailey Lake is a reservoir located in Wyoming County and Mingo County of West Virginia, United States. It was created in the early 1990s by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by constructing the R.D. Bailey Dam on the Guyandotte River. The lake is a popular destination for outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. It covers an area of 630 acres and has a shoreline of 12 miles. The lake is named after Robert D. Bailey, a former congressman from West Virginia who worked to secure funding for the project.
