Tygart Lake is a 1,750-acre lake located in the north-central part of West Virginia, USA. It is surrounded by the picturesque Tygart Lake State Park, which covers 391 acres of land. The lake is formed by the Tygart River, which is dammed to create the lake. The lake's maximum depth is 85 feet, and it is roughly 10 miles long. The lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming. There are several campgrounds and picnic areas around the lake, making it an excellent destination for a family vacation or a weekend getaway. Hiking and biking trails are also available in the surrounding state park.
