Upper Sunshine Reservoir is a small reservoir located in the Shoshone National Forest of Wyoming, USA, near the town of Dubois. It was constructed in the early 20th century for the purposes of irrigation and water storage. The reservoir is situated at an elevation of approximately 9,000 feet and covers an area of about 40 acres. Its shores are surrounded by pine forests and offer scenic views of the nearby mountains. Visitors can fish for trout in the reservoir, hike in the surrounding wilderness or camp at one of the nearby campgrounds. The area is also popular for hunting, with deer, elk, and moose commonly found in the vicinity.
