Cross Lake is a reservoir located in northwest Louisiana, near the city of Shreveport. It was created in 1926 by the construction of the Cross Lake Dam on the Red River. The lake is approximately 8,575 acres in size and is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and recreational activities. The lake is known for its bass fishing and hosts several fishing tournaments throughout the year. There are multiple public boat ramps around the lake and several parks with picnic areas and hiking trails. The shoreline is also home to many private residences and vacation homes.
