Copan Lake is a reservoir situated in northeastern Oklahoma, United States. It is located about 7 miles east of Copan, Oklahoma, and about 40 miles north of Tulsa. The lake is formed by the Copan Dam on the Little Caney River. It covers an area of about 5,000 acres and has about 30 miles of shoreline. Copan Lake is a popular destination for outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, swimming, camping, picnicking, and hiking. The lake is known for its bass fishing and is home to largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass, as well as catfish, crappie, and sunfish. The area around Copan Lake is also home to wildlife, including deer, turkeys, and eagles.
