Heyburn Lake is a reservoir located in Creek County, Oklahoma, USA. The lake was created in 1952 by the construction of Heyburn Dam on Polecat Creek, a tributary of the Arkansas River. The lake has a surface area of 1,230 acres and a maximum depth of 46 feet. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and other outdoor activities. The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish. The Heyburn Lake Wildlife Management Area, located on the eastern shore of the lake, provides hunting opportunities for whitetail deer, turkey, and other game animals.
